PT Yamaha Indonesia Motor Manufacturing (YIMM) has officially introduced the Yamaha Nmax Turbo. This large scooter is the new generation of Nmax in the 150 cc class which has the “Turbo” emblem. So, what are the complete specifications of the Yamaha Nmax Turbo? Check out the review below!

  1. Comes in Several Variants The Yamaha Nmax Turbo comes in several variants namely Neo, Neo S, Turbo, and Turbo Tech Max. The Turbo and Turbo Tech Max variants are equipped with Yamaha Electric CVT technology. This technology replaces the conventional CVT system and no longer uses rollers.
  2. Keeps the Old Design In terms of design, the Yamaha Nmax Turbo generally retains the old Nmax design as the hallmark of Maxi scooters. However, the fascia area of this latest Nmax has changed a lot. The Yamaha Nmax Turbo is equipped with LED Projector headlights and also uses LED turn signals which makes it look even sportier. The shape of the rear has also changed, it is narrower which further emphasizes the sporty impression on this Yamaha Nmax.
  3. Increased Torque The Yamaha Nmax Turbo uses a similar performance kitchen to the Lexi LX 155, Blue Core, VVA, 4 Valve SOHC, YECVT (for Turbo and Turbo Tech Max variants). The new engine is capable of producing 11.3 kW of power at 8,000 rpm and 14.2 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm.
  4. For comparison, the previous version of the Yamaha Nmax can produce 11.3 kW of power at 8,000 rpm and 13.9 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm. So that means, on this third generation Yamaha Nmax there is an increase in torque of 0.3 Nm.
  5. Acceleration Gets Faster The Yamaha Nmax Turbo is equipped with a new engine performance that is also optimized with the latest advanced technology, namely YECVT to replace the conventional CVT system. With the use of this latest technology, this latest generation Nmax has a Riding Mode feature that offers 2 riding modes, namely T-Mode (Town Commuting) and S-Mode (Spot Touring) which can be operated via the “Mode” button on the left steering wheel. T-Mode is used for urban commuting. Meanwhile, S-Mode can be used when touring, uphill roads, sharing, and also maneuvering to overtake other vehicles.
  6. Comfort Support Features For comfort-supporting features, it is adjusted to the variant. The lower the variant level, the less features it has. The TFT Special Navigation System is a feature usually found on flagship-class motorcycles such as the Yamaha Nmax. The feature can work with the help of the Garmin Street Cross application displayed through the TFT Infotainment Display.
